Victoria Gothic Silver Logo Necklace

VICTORIA is a sculptural silver necklace built from the letters of my name, stretched and intertwined until they resemble the thorn-like, nearly unreadable logos of black metal bands. From a distance, the centerpiece looks like a tangle of winter branches; up close, the name begins to emerge.

I shaped every line by hand in wax, preserving the organic irregularity and tension of the original drawing. The model was then cast in solid sterling silver. After casting, I refine the surface, oxidize the recesses, polish the raised details and assemble each necklace by hand in my Oslo workshop.

Fine chains fall from the lower points of the logo. They can be tied, crossed, layered or left loose, allowing the silhouette to change with movement and styling. This is not a conventional name necklace: the word is present, but encoded within the structure.
