This piece reflects the fragility of infancy and the silent fear of motherhood. A transparent infant, cast in glass-like acrylic and filled halfway with blood, connected to the woman’s hand by an invisible bond. The blood is not the child's own, but the mother's: a symbol of life, connection, and mother's sacrifice. The baby appears both material and ghostlike, its fragile body suspended helpless and dependent. The ring is heavy, delicate, and difficult to wear. Just like the emotional weight it represents.
Through this work, I express the overwhelming vulnerability of early life, the invisible yet powerful bond between mother and child, and the quiet terror of harming someone so precious. The baby is a vessel of life, of fear and love -- fragile in mother's hands.

In the age of constant self-exposure, we’re told to “show up,
” “be visible.
” So we step into the
spotlight, facing our deepest fear: shame.
This facepiece is inspired by the Scold’s Bridle - a brutal iron mask once used to silence
women. I reimagined it in thin silver: deceptively light. A chat window overlays the mouth.
Inside, a tongue plate marked “censored” blocks speech.
The mask explores the cost of online presence, in exposure and suppression. To be heard,
one must conform: to platforms, algorithms, laws, and internalized fears.
What promises connection often enforces silence.

This ring was created during one of the hardest times in my life. When my home country started a war, I had to leave everything behind — my home, my studio, my past. I moved to Norway and started from scratch. For a long time, I couldn’t create. Grief, fear, and survival silenced my hands.
But eventually, I found a way back through nature. I saw my own sense of helplessness mirrored in the world’s quiet collapse — in melting ice, in animals losing their homes, in oceans warming. This ring became my way of speaking again.

An octopus, made of silver, wraps itself around a chunk of raw crystal — a melting iceberg. It clings with all its strength, trying to hold on to something that is disappearing. Its grip is desperate.

This piece speaks of powerlessness and persistence. Of life trying to survive against forces too big to stop. Of holding on even when you know you can’t win — but refusing to let go anyway.
