Spring Rune Earrings

Sculptural sterling silver earrings with a hidden message: the Norwegian word "vår", meaning spring.

The letters are intertwined in an abstract emblem inspired by runes, black metal logos and Scandinavian landscapes. At first glance, the earrings look like intricate silver symbols, but a closer look reveals the word hidden within the design.

The original models were sculpted by hand in wax and cast in solid sterling silver. The earrings hang from secure hinged hoops, allowing the silver emblems to move freely.

A combination of Nordic symbolism and contemporary metal aesthetics, designed and finished by hand in my Oslo studio.
